Announcement, Application and Selection Process
Erasmus Staff Training can take place in previously contacted universities or companies or institutions contacted by the candidate.
The International Relations Office announces the call for application on its website, announcement boards and academic and administrative mail groups. Individuls who are interested submit their draft work plans and relevant application form to the International Relations Office until the specified deadline.
Applications are finalized by a committe officially appointed by the Rectorate.
Financial Support
Participants of the Erasmus Staff Training Mobility can get partial financial support from the Europan Commission for the period they will spend abroad. The amount of the fund to be given to the instructors is determined by the National Agency and announced in the Handbook each year.
The financial support is not to be reclaimed, however it should be noted that the funds are not intended to cover all the expenses of the instructors; the aim is to relieve the additional expenses incurred by the mobility.
To be able to stick with the application deadlines, the Erasmus Staff Training Mobility selection process is completed before the National Agency announces the distribution of funds between universities. However, the selection results will be finalized after the announcement of the distribution of funds by the National Agency. Participants have a candidate status until the funds are announced. Permanent nomiation is only possible after the distribution of funds is announced.
Being nominated for the Erasmus program as a candidate does not automatically guarantee the deserving of funds.
Steps to be followed after the selection process:
- The names of the selected staff are conveyed to the host institution by the International Relations Office.
- Selected staff contact their host institution and finalize their work plans.
- The host institution sends the invitation letter.
- Staff members contact the relevant embassy / consulate with their invitation letters, complete the other supporting documentation requested and carry out their visa procedures.
