The International Relations Office announces the available quotas on its web page, announcement boards and academic mail group. Intructors who wish to apply submit their draft teaching program along with the relevant application form to the International Relations Office until the specified deadline.
The International Relations Office contacts the partner universities and conveys the interest of the applicants, confirming the possilibty of teachng staff mobility for the applied semester. The application results are finalized by a committee officially appointed by the Rectorate.
Financial Support
Participants of the Erasmus Teaching Staff Mobility can get partial financial support from the Europan Commission for the period they will spend abroad. The amount of the fund to be given to the instructors is determined by the National Agency and announced in the Handbook each year.
The financial support is not to be reclaimed, however it should be noted that the funds are not intended to cover all the expenses of the instructors; the aim is to relieve the additional expenses incurred by the mobility.
To be able to stick with the application deadlines, the Erasmus Teaching Staff Mobility selection process is completed before the National Agency announces the distribution of funds between universities. However, the selection results will be finalized after the announcement of the distribution of funds by the National Agency. Instructors have a candidate status until the funds are announced. Permanent nomiation is only possible after the distribution of funds is announced.
Being nominated for the Erasmus program as a candidate does not automatically guarantee the deserving of funds.
Steps to be followed after the selection process:
- The names of the selected instructors are conveyed to the partner University by the International Relations Office.
- Selected instructors contact their host university and finalize their teaching programs.
- The host university sends the invitation letter.
- Instructors contact the relevant embassy / consulate with their invitation letters, complete the other supporting documentation requested and carry out their visa procedures.
