Western Kentucky University is now accepting transfer credits from Izmir University

WKU is delighted to announce that they will be accepting transfer credits from Izmir University. All transfer credit inquiries must be directed to the Office of Admissions at WKU.

Admissions requirements:
1.   Application with $40 application fee:

2.   Original College transcripts. High School transcript required if transferring less than 24 college credit hours
3.   English Proficiency: IELTS 6.0/ TOEFL 71-Internert Based TOEFL
4.   Financial guarantee form: Required to issue the 1-20

SCHOLARSHIPS

National/International Academic Scholarship (NIAS)

International students may be eligible for the National/International Academic Scholarship (NIAS) based on their academic achievement. The National/International Academic Scholarship reduces tuition by approximately 45%.

Beginning freshmen with a 3.4 un-weighted GPA and an ACT 24 or SAT 1090 and
International transfer students with at least 24 earned hours and a 3.4 GPA are also eligible to receive the National/International Academic Scholarship.

To retain eligibility for the NIAS award, recipients must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or greater. The cumulative GPA will be reviewed at the end of each spring semester for determination of eligibility for the upcoming fall semester.

There is no application for the National/International Academic Scholarship. Eligibility for this program will be determined by the Office of Admissions. (There is no separate application process for the National/International Academic Scholarship. Students who apply to WKU are automatically evaluated whether they qualify for this scholarship.)
