Meeting with Centennial College Canada |

Centennial College Canada Istanbul office general manager V. Simon Aznavour and educational consultant Ayşem Onar visited our university's International Relations Office on July 30th (2010). During the meeting held, a cooperation agreement initiative between Izmir University and Centennial College was discussed. Centennial College accepts the highest number of international students in Canada and has equivalency from Higher Education Council of Turkey (YÖK). |

Scholarship Program by Greek State Scholarship Foundation |
|
|
|
Greek State Scholarship Foundation will be providing scholarships for students 90 students in the period 2010-2011 from non-EU European countries, the Balkans and Southeast Asia, Africa and Latin America.
Foreigners with residence permits in Greece may apply directly to the foundation, while other foreigners must deliver their applications to the Greek diplomatic representation until May 17, 2010.

Izmir Universities Platform Internationalization Meeting |

Izmir University International Relations Office attended the Internationalization Meeting held at Yaşar University Selçuk Yaşar Campus on March 9th 2010 Tuesday, within the framework of Izmir Universities Platform. From now on, international offices of Izmir universities will regularly meet and work together to turn Izmir into a city of universities and contribute to its internationalization process.

Izmir University hosted the European Voluntary Service Meeting |

Izmir University hosted an information meeting on March 1st about European Voluntary Service, which is a program classified under Action 2 in Youth Programme of the European Union. During the meeting which students showed remarkable interest, Büşra Güder and Şefik Emre Coşkun, officials of Turkish Ex European Voluntary Service Association in Izmir (TREXEVS – http://www.trexevs.org) gave detailed information about the program. Ex volunteers also attended the meeting, sharing their experiences and answered questions of participants.
